Item Impact of knowledge sharing on knowledge Acquisition among Higher Education Employees(Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems, 2022) Ravikumar, Rejitha; Kitana, Abdelkarim; Taamneh, Abdallah; Aburayya, Ahmad; Shwedeh, Fanar; Salloum, Said; Shaalan, KhaledThis paper consolidates academic studies on knowledge sharing and acquisition. An effort is made to synthesize and establish the research perspectives and the link between knowledge sharing and knowledge acquisition in higher educational institutions based on a systematic review of literature retrieved from sources such as Google Scholar and the various journals listed on Scopus. Many articles were identified that studied these two processes separately. However, the number of works that investigate the relationship between knowledge sharing and knowledge acquisition is extremely limited, particularly in the context of higher education institutions (HEI). This systematic review finds papers that explain techniques of information sharing and knowledge acquisition in higher education institutions and examines the impact of knowledge sharing on knowledge acquisition. The papers chosen draw a link between knowledge sharing and knowledge acquisition and outline the criteria that facilitate knowledge sharing. A qualitative Study on how Blockchain Technology Could be used in the Education Sector to Improve the Quality of Education Services and the Overall Student Experience(Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems, 2022) El Nokiti, Abdullah; Shaalan, Khaled; Salloum, Said; Aburayya, Ahmad; Shwedeh, Fanar; Shameem, BeenishThe blockchain technology is rapidly growing allowing high potential use of technology to help educational organisations to reach to their goals while satisfying the learning process providing the student with a significant level of satisfaction inaccurate structure. This research will show six research papers discussed the Blockchain technology in the education sector, validate the author’s contribution, being biased, tools used and final contribution to extract a clear path to be followed in the proposed final thesis. It will tend to provide different reviews about the topic and how this was used in every paperItem PREDICTING THE INTENTION TO USE GOOGLE GLASS IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS: A HYBRID SEM-ML APPROACH(Academy of Strategic Management Journal, 2022) Alfaisal, Raghad; Idris Khadija Alhumaid, Sultan; Alnazzawi, Noha; Abou Samra, Rasha; Aburayya, Ahmad; Salloum, Said; Shaalan, Khaled; Al Khasoneh, Osama; Abdel Monem, AzzaThe emergence of newer technology and rapid global changes has led to the development of technology-based education environments, wherein teachers and students interact via technological interfaces such as Google Glass. Very few educational institutions have, however, opted to use this interface. The reason for this tendency is not very well understood or adequately researched. Therefore, this study aims to understand the factors influencing the adoption of Google Glass in the UAE. Our hypothesis is that providing information about the salient features and practical applications of Google Glass to teachers and learners would result in a higher percentage of educational institutions using this technology. The findings of this study will be based on the interrelation between the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and other influential factors. It will evaluate the integration of TAM with the well-known influential features of the device such as enhancement of teaching, facilitation of learning, functionality of motivating learning, and assurance of trust and information privacy. These features play a key role in facilitating communication between teachers and students in the classroom environment. Our approach will make use of hybrid analysis techniques involving Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Machine Learning (ML). This work of research thus proposes to offer practical inputs that can help decision-makers and other practitioners focus particularly on creating conducive environments for the use of Google Glass as well as further adopt strategies for meeting their specific needs.Item The Impact of eLearning as a Knowledge Management Tool in Organizational Performance(2021) Alsharhan, Abdulla; Salloum, Said; Shaalan, KhaledThis paper aims to understand the impact of eLearning capabilities on organizational performance. It also addresses the obstacles of organizational learning using eLearning methods and highlighting some emerging trends and technologies that will impact the eLearning experience in organizations. It examines a brief history of knowledge management and how it is related to learning, organizational learning, and performance. It also explores different eLearning technologies and trends. A systematic literature review was used to examine previous papers between 2016–2020. Results show eLearning can impact organizational performance in many ways, and human factors can be one of the most challenging obstacles in deploying eLearning solutions in organizations, and many emerging eLearning trends were explored including open educational resources, gamification, flipped classrooms, and many others.Item The Impact of eLearning as a Knowledge Management Tool in Organizational Performance(Elsevier, 2021) Alsharhan, Abdulla; Salloum, Said; Shaalan, KhaledThis paper aims to understand the impact of eLearning capabilities on organizational performance. The study includes a systematic literature review for six papers on project management office (PMO) role and impact on knowledge management. PRISMA guidelines were used to select the papers and the research focused on the most important six papers to investigate the research questions. The study findings revealed that PMO plays a vital role in boosting information usefulness by sharing the correct knowledge with the right people at the right time. Furthermore, PMO is important for maintaining knowledge repositories, which comprise knowledge generated from projects in the form of lessons learned, updated project management standards, and individual learning that becomes organizational learning.Item The Role of KM in Enhancing AI Algorithms and Systems(Elsevier, 2020) AlGhanem, Hani; Shanaa, Mohammad; Salloum, Said; Shaalan, KhaledKnowledge Management processes present a vital role in improving AI systems and algorithms. Many studies and reviews were carried out to examine the relationship between KM processes and AI systems. However, studies were focusing on specific methods and the impact on some AI algorithms, neglecting the role of other KM processes and how it may affect the AI system to achieve the objective, which reduces the adoption in some organizations. The current study shows the relation between KM processes and AI systems from a higher perspective, giving different options to apply other KM processes for the same AI algorithm to reduce any implementation challenges and enhance the adoption level. The review looks into 16 studies collected from a different database from 2014 to 2019. The main finding of the research was the massive impact of some KM processes like knowledge acquisition and knowledge creation on the different types of AI systems and algorithms to give an additional option for organizations during the implementation. Additionally, the research finds that most of the studies agree on the positive relationship between knowledge management processes and the role-plays to enhance AI systems and algorithms. Finally, the study shows a decrease in the number of researches done for this topic in the selected databases, which can be enhanced by other researchers by examining other databases to increase results accuracy.
