Dr Wael Sheta

Dr. Sheta has been involved in both academic and professional life in Egypt and the United Kingdom. His interests focus on sustainable and environmental performance of buildings, including issues such as low passive energy design and environmental technology, renewable energy, sustainable architecture, ranging from theory to design to implementation. Dr. Sheta holds a Ph.D. degree in Architecture from University of Sheffield and worked as honorary research assistant at University of Liverpool, UK. In different capacities, his academic activities involved developing and delivering high-quality teaching activities, undertaking individual and joint research to produce quality academic outputs. His practical experience as a registered professional architect contributed effectively to the architectural design firms, organizations, associations, and universities with which he was associated. His work in the environmental building performance and renewable energy contributes to current growing concern over the environment and the necessity to develop more sustainable communities that have a reduced impact for future generations.
