Dr Faeez Aziz Masurkar

Dr. Faeez Masurkar is currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the British University in Dubai (BUiD), UAE since 2023. He was awarded the Degrees of BE and ME in Mechanical Engineering (Machine Design) in 2012 and 2014 respectively, from the University of Mumbai, India. He was then appointed as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and workshop superintendent at ViMEET, a university of Mumbai affiliated Institute. He then moved to Belgium in 2016 to work as a Research Staff at Ghent University. In Oct 2020, Faeez was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR. Later, he moved to Arizona State University to continue his postdoctoral studies where he worked on numerous projects funded by NASA, Boeing, and Northrop Grumman. Prior to Joining BUiD, he worked at A*STAR research Entities in Singapore as a Scientist. He has extensive teaching and research experience in Non-destructive testing and Structural Health Monitoring using ultrasonic waves, Vibration, Machinery diagnostics, and material science.
