Dr Sulafa Badi

Dr. Sulafa started her career as an architect before transitioning to academia. She holds an MSc in Construction Economics and Management as well as a PhD in Project Management from UCL (University College London). Dr. Sulafa’s research journey has been dedicated to understanding innovation and digital transformation across various contexts, including construction supply chains, infrastructure projects, and service organizations. Her work has resulted in numerous publications that explore the multifaceted nature of these areas. Notably, she has delved into the transformative potential of blockchain technology in the construction industry, the adoption of smart contracts, and cybersecurity in the UK construction sector. She also investigates individual and team innovation behaviours, intrapreneurial traits, and the role of social capital, leadership, and power dynamics in driving innovation. Dr. Sulafa has secured substantial research funding, collaborated with prominent organizations, published extensively, supervised numerous students, and held positions as Director of Studies and External Examiner. Her interdisciplinary approach underscores her commitment to understanding the broader societal implications of digitalization.
