Dr Usman Butt

Dr Usman Butt is a Cyber Security practitioner and an academic with over 19 years of experience. He has previously worked as an Associate Dean and Head of Department Computing in the UK. Dr Usman is an experienced strategic leader, Cyber Security trainer and international public speaker on contemporary Cyber Security challenges. He is also an External Examiner to various UK Universities for their Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence programmes. He is research focused and has published number of articles in peer reviewed journals, authored book chapters and published conference papers in the field of Cyber Security. Dr Usman has vast experience of supervising full-time and part-time students at BSc/MSc levels and has been involved in various professional activities such as penetration testing and End Point Assessor for degree apprenticeship programmes in the UK. He has also worked as a trainer on UK National Cyber Security programme, CyberFirst.
