    The Repercussions of Leadership Styles on Organizational Performance at Educational Organizations: A Case Study of a School in Sharjah, UAE

    The purpose of the study is to explore the impacts of educational leadership styles on a school and its teaching staff in Sharjah in terms of engagement, productivity and performance. This study presents many educational leadership theories and styles in order to have a background of the educational leadership perspective. The researcher investigates the most common educational leadership styles at UAE schools in order to be able to evaluate the best approach. The researcher uses different tools to gather more information such as questionnaires and an interview to explore the effects of educational leadership styles on the performance of the school and the educational process. Besides, the researcher exploits the secondary resource by probing a rich literature review through consulting many books, journals and reviews. In accordance with the findings of the research, constructive recommendations are presented for increasing the positive impacts of the democratic leadership style on the teachers’ performance and the school’s efficacy and success. The recommendations build on the constructive roles that effective democratic leaders perform for improving students’ attainment as well as reinforcing parents’ and the local community support of the school and the educational process.
