Abstract
Leadership within academic institutions is significant in shaping the educational experiences of students. This dissertation probes the intricate dynamics of leadership styles and their influence on student behaviour and learning outcomes. Through a multidimensional exploration, the research seeks to bridge theoretical gaps and offer practical insights to inform leadership practices within a private school in Sharjah. This research revolves around a comprehensive examination of various leadership styles within a specific private school setting. In other words, it draws upon the critical discourse that surrounds educational leadership. The chosen locale of Sharjah provides a unique context for this exploration, given its diverse student demographics and contextual differences. The primary aim of this research is to dissect prevalent leadership styles and analyse their impact on the broader school climate. It includes teacher–student relationships, communication, and the overall atmosphere of the school. Furthermore, the study investigates the correlation between leadership styles and student behaviour, exploring aspects such as motivation, discipline, and engagement. Additionally, it assesses how different leadership styles influence the student learning outcomes, encompassing academic performance, attendance, and overall achievement.
This research employs the case study method in a Sharjah-based private school to explore leadership practices in this educational context. It seeks to advance both the theoretical understanding and practical applications of educational leadership by analysing the influence of leadership styles on student behaviour and the learning outcomes. By providing actionable insights, it aims to benefit educational leaders, administrators, and policymakers, facilitating improvements in educational experiences within schools and the broader educational environments.
