Dr Suleiman Yerima

Dr. Suleiman Yerima is an Associate Professor of Cyber Security at The British University in Dubai. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Fellow of the British Advance HE (FHEA). Dr. Yerima previously worked as a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in Cyber Security at De Montfort University (DMU), Leicester, England. Prior to that, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT), Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he led several projects in malware detection supported by McAfee (Intel Security). He has been the principal investigator of various multi-disciplinary projects funded by UKRI, Innovate UK and GCRF grants including: ADRELO – Advancing resilience in low-income housing using climate-change science and big data analytics; AVAC – Enhancing agricultural value chains in Nigeria using data analytics and GIS; STEGA – Secure and trustworthy e-governance in Africa.
